How we measure impact across projects
The Endangered Landscapes & Seascapes Programme works with the projects that we fund to design and carry out monitoring to assess the impact of restoration actions. This data helps build the evidence base for the impacts of landscape and seascape restoration including the benefits that restoration can provide for nature, climate, and people.
Our bespoke monitoring framework is being applied in all Restoration Landscapes and Seascapes. Each project selects a set of indicators to monitor the ecological, ecosystem service and socioeconomic changes that take place as a result of their restoration actions.
About indicators
Indicators are chosen to measure progress toward each project’s desired outcomes and are categorised into three themes: ecological (green), ecosystem service (blue) and socioeconomic (orange).
