The Endangered Landscapes Programme is currently advertising four new opportunities to join their expanding management team in Cambridge, UK: a full-time Programme Manager and Programme Administrator, and a part-time Capacity and Network Coordinator and Communications Coordinator.

About the Programme
The Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) is a unique collaboration between the University of Cambridge and nine leading biodiversity conservation organisations in and around Cambridge. The CCI partners together combine and integrate research, education, policy and practice to create innovative solutions for society and to foster conservation learning and leadership.
One of the priority areas of collaboration within CCI’s Five Year Plan is to focus on the restoration of ecosystems and landscapes for the benefit of biodiversity. To this end and thanks to the generosity of Arcadia, the charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin, CCI has established the $63 million Endangered Landscapes Programme (ELP) for restoring landscapes in Europe.
Programme Manager (full-time)
The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to develop and promote the Endangered Landscapes Programme. The role holder will be responsible for the successful and efficient management of components of the ELP, including the supervision, coordination and review of all grantee contracts and projects. The Programme Manager will work with the Programme Director to ensure the accurate and effective financial management of the various multi-million-dollar components of this programme, whilst also supporting the additional developmental and strategic aims of the wider CCI collaborative actions on landscape restoration. The role holder will be essential in building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
With a degree in a natural science related subject (or similar), you will need an excellent knowledge of the international biodiversity conservation sector (including landscape restoration initiatives), as well as experience in managing and monitoring large-scale international projects and programmes involving multiple stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised and efficient, with excellent communication and project management skills. You should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, without compromising on quality.

Capacity and Network Coordinator (part-time)
The Capacity and Network Coordinator is responsible for the strategic development of the ELP’s network and capacity building activities, leading on the identification of capacity-building needs, and coordinating the design of tools and actions to support this. The role holder will be tasked with coordinating and strengthening a network of engaged grantees and alumni, to ensure the success of the programme and the building of an active and dynamic system for more effective landscape restoration.
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g., natural science, social science, or education), you should have significant experience related to capacity-building and network development. To be successful in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills are essential in this role, alongside strong presentation and writing skills. You will need to be proficient in the use of MS Office and feel confident in using social networking tools and video conferencing software.

Communications Coordinator (part-time)
The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the communications of the Endangered Landscapes Programme. This will include leading on the development of the ELP Communications Strategy, managing the production of impactful content across various platforms, and ensuring successful engagement with the programme’s brand, both internally and externally.
With previous experience in a communications role, you must have an understanding of media relations and digital media strategies. You will have excellent communication skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail, and the ability to draft complex documents for a variety of audiences. We seek someone who is self-motivated, able to multi-task, with a track record of delivering to tight deadlines without compromising on quality. To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to nurture and foster essential relationships and partnerships with collaborators, potential funders and public audiences.

Programme Administrator (full-time)
The Programme Administrator will support the efficient and smooth running of the Endangered Landscapes Programme, working closely with the Programme Director and Programme Manager. They will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the ELP and its committees, ensuring accurate programme records are kept and successfully managing the portfolio of grants and contracts. The Programme Administrator will act as first point of contact for the ELP and must maintain successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The role holder will also be responsible for the financial administration of the programme, as well as supporting the arrangement of various events hosted by the ELP.
Educated to HND/ HNC level, level 4/ 5 vocational qualification (or an equivalent level of practical experience), you should have experience of administering and supporting projects involving multiple stakeholders. You should have significant experience of organising and administering financial systems/budgets, as well as a good working knowledge of various office technologies and software. To be successful in this role you must be personable and engaging and have excellent communication skills. You will need to be well organised, with the ability to adapt quickly and work well under pressure without compromising on quality. Having an active interest in the environment and conservation would be an advantage.
